For this assignment, I showed movement by taking pictures of people in different places but in the same scene. Then in Photoshop I used the magnetic lasso tool and layer masks to move them from one picture to a background image.

Color Emphasis
For these photos I selected one part of the photo using the magnetic selection tool. Then, I turned on the Quick Mask Mode to make sure all of the parts of the photo were selected. Then I inverted my selection and made the rest of the photo black and white. While in black and white mode I just adjusted the reds and yellows a little bit to bring out the shadows. My favorite is definitely the first one.

Portraits
Photo #1: For this photo I used front diffused artificial lighting. I edited it by putting a surface blur on her face.
Photo #2: For this photo I used side direct artificial lighting. To edit it, I added a lighting effect to bring out her face and enhance the shadows.
Photo #3: There was natural 3/4 lighting coming in from a window. I adjusted the tone of the photo to make it look more sepia. I also did spot remover and a slight surface blur.
Photo #4: In this photo, there was side natural lighting also coming in through a window. To edit this photo, I also added a surface blur and adjusted the curves so the shadows came out more.
Reflection: I like these pictures, but they definitely are not the best. The quality came out poorly and they aren't very interesting to look at. Although, I do think they reflect my friends quite well. In the first picture, I captured Paige's face perfectly. The second picture captures Paige's silly side that she definitely has. In the third photo of Ariana, it captured her unique style. The fourth photo, I'm not sure. I don't know how to describe the expression Talia has on her face...but I like it.
